hey everyone i am from COD4 and i just started playing and if you guys have any tips for on how to play better please tell me because i suck a lot.

Don't give up. I see a lot of new people go "This game is way too hard, I'm done with it" but it just requires some time. Once you get used to it you'll find that it's not as bad as you think.

First off welcome to insurgency. Some tips would be to practice with the basic guns (the M4A1 and the M16 on Marines; and the AK74 and AK47). If you can maintain a positive score with those guns, thats a sign that your used to the game. Just be sure to sprint from cover to cover and watch out for nades or dying teammates so you don't fall into a trap. Also you should try shooting in bursts even if you have an automatic gun (this helps you get used to the recoil).

Well, theres a beginners crash course to insurgency. You should enjoy the game once you get the hang of it, I know i hated it at first and then i reinstalled it and found this community and havent stopped playing since.

Every Thursday night, SCSwat hosts a Boot Camp that from what I hear is extremely helpful and informative. That's only two days away so you should get into it. I wish I could go but again I have stuff on Thursday.

Anyways, just keep trying. I switched from TF2 and I know first hand how long it takes to get used to. The first few rounds I had 0 points. Once you get a feel for the map, learn where all the good hiding spots, and follow Jedi or Capy around then you it starts feeling more familiar.

I will say, though, play both teams as much as possible. If you play as Insurgents and get see some really good hiding spots people are using, the next time you play Marines you'll be wary of those specific spots.

DONT GET FRUSTRATED! ITS VERY HARD! BUT THAT IS THE NUMBER 1 reason you will get killed.. if you keep getting killed and dont know from were.. try to learn your map first.. and shoot in burst... but always practice with your semi-auto.. you must develop your aiming first.
