Looking for a dirt cheap build?

I'd also have say that you need to upgrade the PSU.
I understand you are on a tight budget and I really like the build you've put together, it really gets alot out of $400. However, I would strongly suggest upgrading the PSU, it is the heart of your computer.

Just because it's $400 bucks that doesn't mean your parts have to be crap, what I'm saying is there are better parts for the price he's paying and he could change some of his higher end parts to lower ones because that performance isn't needed thus the money would be used more efficiently.

I never meant the word in a bad way, just as in expression of how good the one video card will destroy the other.
 
Or you could save up an extra $100/200 to buy higher quality parts.

The motherboard will work fine but you'll have trouble OC'ing since those boards don't OC well. Good CPU, I have the Black Edition of that model. Case is ok, nothing special, small though

thank you for pointing out the amps on the 12V rail. I did not look into that and I've updated the PSU to a different one that has 30A on the 12V rail. also, this is really not meant to be the kind of computer you overclock, it's supposed to be absolute rock bottom price that will actually do something. personally I prefer higher clock speed RAM, maybe that's just me. as for the CPU fan, it should work fine, it's not like the processor will be giving off tons of heat. and you can't really fit a bigger one into the micro ATX case. which I did choose on purpose.
 
i strongly advise a bigger case casue when you get a lil more moola and u have no room in ur damn case ur guna be kicking urself!
