Mouse setup

Anyone know some 3rd party software or some cheap tricks in the biso to set up your mouse properly for fps. I'm really annyoed by things like mouse acceleration, and apprently turning off "mouse percision" in the control panel doesn't get rid of all the acceleration. But even so in game, making the smallest movements i can, my mouse clearly jumps as if my resolution was like 300 by 300 or something, like inivisilble squares that my mouse obeyed, but i always thought the intelli explorer 3 (which is what im using) has fairly high dpi as counterstrike pros use it. Any thoughts?

higher dpi means your mouse moves farther on your screen for smaller movements... for instance if you are running 1600 x 1050 or whatever, an 1800 dpi mouse will cover the whole screen in less than an inch of movement. That being said, your mouse is not a gaming mouse, as much as microsoft tries to promote it as such. The Intelli Explorer 3.0 only has 450dpi to it, which means ergonomically speaking for long gaming sessions, you would have to move your hand way too much. Also, your mouse itself is equipped with acceleration sensing. I would check to make sure you have installed the software that came with it and try configuring it from there. Also, if it is really jumping that bad, try turning down your sensitivity. Other than that, there isn't a whole lot to do, just make sure you have the proper stuff in stalled and look to the actual mouse software (not the control panel) to tweak it. The control panel is only good for adjusting the sensitivity of the mouse or the wheel. FYI mouse settings can't be changed by any bios settings, and in fact the drivers are not even loaded at that point.

I find hard to belive. I looked for a very long time on the internet on things such as fps labs and looked at progaming teams and the intelli explorer 3 and 1 are the most used mice in progamming, thats why i bought it, well at least at the time about a year ago. Although most are familiar with the "steelseries" model, but steelseries litteraly just take microsofts intelli mouse and add a new casing, the dpi and such is still the same.
