Just got the new PC yesterday, and I'm downloading/installing everything. Will be playing TF2 tonight! The "not fair" part comes from the fact that my computer came on a day when I worked 8am to 5pm, and now today I work 7:30am to 4pm, so my first all day TF2-athon will come next Saturday. :(


Hope to see you all out there tonight, I'm a bit rusty, but I'm really looking forward to breaking my beast in!


Specs for those wondering:

AMD Phenom 2 940 Quad core (3ghz per core)
4gigs (2gb x 2) Kingston HyperX Memory at 800 MHZ
MSI K9A2CF Motherboard
Radeon 4870 X2 2gb video card
160gb Solid State Disk Drive for OS/Games, and a 1TB SATA drive for storage


And now I get to put on my work clothes and leave that all behind for hours, as sadly I have to run errands after work as well. Hopefully will be back here in about 12 hours ready to play. :crying:
 
I got that same GFX Card, it's wicked! Grats on your new baby! ;P
 
We are all devastated by the tragic circumstances you describe. On the other hand rejoice in your employment. Many people who are unemployed consider it "not fair". Quite your bitchin and enjoy your new setup.
 
Niiiice rig man. I bet that cost a pretty penny. Stuff is getting crazy on computers nowadays, my friend has the same kind of processor (dual) in his rig and it's insane.. my one and only processor is 3.3ghz :( One day...

Excellent point. As I sit here on a laptop not made for gaming, it sickens me when people complain that they only get 100 frames in so-and-so game, or how they hate their job. Dude, give me your job. Money is tight here, I mean really tight, so a job's a job. McDonald's sounds good right about now.

On-topic, though, nice rig! Have fun when you start playing again.
 
Its only 12 hours cmon.....try 40 some odd days....wait i already said this once before in this thread....well wont hurt to exemplify my point ;)
