Vent problem

i'm not sure how to make my Ventrilo work right. Last time i went to an INS bootcamp, you need to have vent on. When i did that and joined the game, i couldnt hear anything in vent but up until then i was fine. Then the game lagged ridiculously, and then crashed. I tried it 3 times, and got the same results. Anyone know any settings i can switch or anything? Thx.

Are you running Windows Vista?
If so, try running Vent as an Administrator, and see if that works.

Also check which sound card/device vent is using if you have two it might have switched to one you dont have and audio hooked up to.

i'm on windows XP and i'm the admin though, i'm only user anyway.

and i only have one sound card its Realtek AC97 i think

So the game runs fine without Vent, and Vent runs fine without the game, but they can't co-exist?

Are you running a 64-bit OS?
