My great Uncle was in the second world war. His platoon had been all killed but two people, one of them was him. He had hid in a small cave like dig out in germany when the germans where passing over him. He had stayed n the cave all night until the next day with the other guy. When he finally came out of the cave dig out, there was a dead german soldier next to the entrance with a k98 next to him. My great uncle took the gun for protection and i remember him telling me that that gun saved his life perhaps 3-4 times before he finally found another platoon. Anyway, when he died, i inherited the gun. Its an antique and i will never shoot it, but i clean it all the time. Its an amazing gun.

Lol well... He's dead for one thing... he died in mid 90's. I would shoot it, but it hasnt been shot for over 30 years... somthing might break on it :/

I actually held one of those beasts at a War museum in England. It was sick, I was like 11 and I felt like such a beast carrying that rifle! This was about 2 months after I started playing DoD so i was pumped to hold a gun from the game
