Every now and then you might see a full server but no admins present. And sometimes these are situations where punks crawl out of their holes and join our servers to make the game unpleasant for all of us. This is guide telling you what you need to know how to help us keep the servers punk-free.
In a situation where a non-eGO member breaks the rules i.e. curses, disrespects other players, has an inappropriate name or uses map exploits (boosting to the roof in Dust2 for example) but there are no admins to set him straight, then you may let him know that what he/she is doing is against the server rules. For example player named Random player says:
Random player: F**k this s**t, gtfo noobs.
At this point you should warn him firmly yet respectfully. How do you do it, here’s how:
=(e)= Member A: Random player, please watch your language and be respectful to other players thank you.
It is important that you use please and thank you, and saying the players name will surely get his/hers attention more effectively.
The best thing to do is to let an admin know that on this server there is trouble maker.
While the admin is joining your game you want to get the punks Steam ID down in case he/she does not stop breaking the rules regardless your warnings or leaves before the admin can cool things down. And this is how you get players Steam ID:
Open your developer console and type in “status” without the quotes. This will bring out all the players names and their Steam ID’s. Then type in “condump” again without the quotes. This will save everything on the console to this file: C:\Program files\steam\steamapps\<your name>\insurgency\insurgency\condump###
Also we do not accept certain names. Any racial, offensive or insulting names are not accepted.
For example any names referring to one’s skin color is not allowed. Also any drug reference are not suggestable.
If the admin for some reason did not manage to get the Steam ID let him/her know that you have, so he/she can take care of the punk with elder admins.
If you are not sure is the suspected punk cursing ask yourself two questions:
(1) Is it offensive?
(2) Does it disrupt game play?
If you are having troubles opening your console, here is a guide to get it working:
1st launch Insurgency
2nd go to options and keyboard
3rd select advance settings and check the “allow developer console” checkbox
And now that the checkbox is checked, when you press “ ~ “ it will open your console
If you happen to have European keyboard and thus your “ ~ ” button does not open the console, then here’s what you do:
1st open your Steam My games
2nd right click on Insurgency
3rd select propreties
4th select Set launch settings
5th type in: -console
When correctly done console should be open when you launch the game. But do not exit the console because you cannot reopen it once exited. It will be there when you launch the game next time.
If you get into a tight situation where the punk/punks do not respond to your warnings or they respond with rudeness, the first thing to do is to contact an admin in your Steam friends list in Vent or IRC. Do not hesitate to ask for help, that is what we admins are here for: to maintain order in the servers and to help you in any situation. If you do not have any admins on your friends list fell free to add as many as you can to ensure that help is available whenever you need it.
Now you know how to deal with punks without admins present. If there are admins in your game, it might not be necessary to warn players, let the trained admins do all the “dirty work.”
Now go and enjoy our server and don’t be afraid of punks, they should be afraid of you.

No worries I know how to do this stuff, but great post especially for newer members.
