Tip's For e's When Dealing With Rule Breakers

Through my endeavors on any server, of any game, where I am NOT an admin, I've found a few things work. It usually helps if you're IN the clan.

Most people on pubs DON'T know e's aren't admins. This can be used to your advantage. I find that by talking with authority I can generally put an end to certain behaviors. Such as, swearing, disrespect, team flashing spawn camping etc.. It's not going to matter if you say that to someone who is blatantly hacking, they KNOW EXACTLY what they're doing.

I find that most of the time (90% or more) the people I have to be all mean to end up listening and we have a great time playing together.

I usually do one of these,

"Hey, please watch your language in these servers" (first offense)

"Okay, this is the second time, please, watch the language" (second offense)

"You've agreed to the rules and conditions when you entered the server, which says no swearing. You agreed to the conditions now please play by them. I'm not going to ask again" (third offense, or can be used if people are arguing about it).

Now, I don't say these things word for word, but hey, it usually works.

The most important thing is to NOT threaten banning or any action, e's can't do it.

I highly recommend adding a few eG's and eGO's to your Steam list for this. 100% of the time they have come when I have requested their assistance.

I don't know how many times this kind of thing has come up, but I thought it would be a good idea for e's to stockpile some ideas for defusing situations before they become out of hand. Higher up's can also add to

I agree 100% as long as there are no admins in there, if there are, then just let them handle it.

And if in fact an issue does come up, don't try to defuse it yourself, just pm an admin.

i find this to be very affective myself. sometimes its just a slip up in language that just needs a little reminder, not always necessary to get an admin to join the server for half a second. hell half the time even the regulars will remind them before any E on the server can...which is just as good.
though many pubbers have just as high of respect for Es as they do eGs or eGOs and a little reminder gets things swept under the rug pretty quickly

I forgot to put "if there isn't an admin", but I'm pretty sure the tone of the thread assumes there is no admin.

But also, you can also remind people that there are admins in the server. I also do that. When people are whining just say "There are admins present and it is being taken care of"

I usually do that too, but things can get pretty hectic once people know that e's don't have admin. I try contacting one if anything gets out of hand

I can't stress enough the fact that you should only take on these things when there are NO admins present. Otherwise, let us handle.

Also, if I see an e with a "Please watch your language on our servers." bind, you will be asked to remove it.

Well when i play there is usally admins in the sever so i havent had to say that much just here and there but good to know ty!!!

you fail lol thats called a bind and binds dont use thier name in it so they = FAIL!
