I really need some help!

Alright, so I was playing CS:S (obviously) earlier today and the video settings were all off, and everything was cut off on the sides. So i went to change the settings, and the lower ones did not work. So when I chose a higher setting the screen went black and said:

OUT OF RANGE

H: 75.2KHZ V: 75.0HZ

I don't know how to fix this, and I can't get into the game to switch the settings. I already re-installed the game, and that didn't help. :facewall: What do I do? PLEASE HELP!

Add the -windowed parameter to Counter-Strike: Source launch options. Start the game, adjust the video settings, exit and remove the -windowed parameter.

Your problem is the resolution setting. You probably selected the resolution that your monitor does not support.

Steam --> Right click on CSS --> Properties --> Set launch options...

If that doesn't work, delete the following key via regedit:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Source\cstrike
