Ok so here is my problem. My model of motherboard that i have does not have vista drivers that i can find. (Intel D865GLC) So when i put in my Radeon 3850, my WHOLE screen artifacts and whatnot. and i had the same problem with xp, but they had drivers for that, so i fixed it with the drivers. but then i upgraded to Vista. So right now im running some old stupid card that i cant do anything with (its AGP, i know....)

SOOOOO

I was wondering, is there any way, either finding the drivers, or something i can do with the xp install drivers that will get this to work.

Just shout anything out, and ill tell you if i have tried it or not (there are sooo many things i have tried and im out of ideas)

yes, but the intel chipset drivers.

Nevermind this post, i already rage-formatted and went back to xp

BUT NOW!!!

nevermind the nevermind

Have all my chipset drivers installed, and my card is still artifacting

anyone know anything about it?

Yeah, freeware for the win
It'll tell you all your outdated drivers
Only works for x32 bit vista though
They're working on x64
You might find this helpful
I know I did when I upgraded ^^

ok, well with my second post, i was saying im running xp on it again. i had installed Log Me In onto it, so i could log onto it from another computer, and go from there. All drivers are updated, and all of the updates are installed. Except the only difference now is i have no video on my main computer. I can still see stuff over the remote connection, but not on my actual monitor.

So what i have decided is that its Service Pack 3. Because before, it would run fine with SP2, and then i tried updating to Vista, and then that didnt work, so i went back to xp, but this time, it was SP3.
