It seems like there's been more and more TF2 activity lately and it's making me think more and more of switching over to the TF2 division. I mainly do CSS and DOD, and i made a post a few weeks back asking for peoples' opinions on TF2 and whether or not i should start playing it or not. But is it just me or has the TF2 division been getting bigger and bigger? Should i switch? ggah.

Understand that this in no way disses any other division!

...but TF2 rocks :D

Buy the game if you haven't yet, and come play with us. We have tons of events incoming, all fun.

It's my personal opinion is that the Team Fortress 2 game itself (Scout breaking the fourth wall, Heavy telling people to cry some more, soldiers calling each other maggots, needing a dispensa here, etc) just builds a less competitive fun environment.

Not to say that the other games aren't fun or that you can't compete in TF2. I'm just saying the game doesn't take place in the teeth of an Insurgency or during the harrowing days of World War II. It's got a very light tone that generally keeps things bubbly.

If TF2 doesn't become your primary game (like it is for me), then I'll lay at least a buck on the table that it's your second. When your tired of the Terrorists setting you up the bomb in CSS or the Nazi's stealin' your flag in COD5, you can always go back to building a sentry gun and laughing at Scouts :D

You don't necessarily need to switch divisions to play in servers, go to events, you can stay in DoD division, then you can get TF2 and start playing it. If you really, really like it, (why not?) then you could decide to switch divisions or not. Don't move too fast.

i think TF2 is our biggest division :). If you want to be like everyone else that has back to the TF2 join us in warpath :) its needs the help to stay around.

Except for communities that are deeply based in CS:S, TF2 is usually the largest division anywhere. It's a growing game, that grows with every free weekends and Steam sale. I'd recommend attending the events, but not necessarily switching yet. ;)

perhaps i am mistaking here, but if you are part of =(eGO)=, aren't you a part of all divisions?
I for example joined here with the tf2 division, but i also have all the other games of our organization... and i can play on any eGO servers wearing the name tag proudly no? :)

Should i switch? ggah.

As a member of eGO, you carry the same rank across all divisions and games which eGO supports. TF2 has plenty of players from other divisions which play on TF2 servers and vice versa.

The decision to "switch" divisions has no benefit with regards to playing games or being eligible to play on any server or enter any event.

Your divisional affiliation is important primarily with regards to promotions. If you stay in DoD and spend most of your time in TF2 servers, it's harder for DoD advisors to evaluate and consider you for promotion.

Similarly, if you spend all your time on TF2 servers, TF2 leaders - such as myself - might or may tend to overlook you because you're affiliated with another division.

tf2 is the only game i can play all day every day and never get sick of , now dont get me wrong i have other games , and play them once and a while , but tf2 is a must , in my opinion it beats all other games , i mean a fat dude with a minigun eating a sandwich for healz , cmon now , getting ownd by a baseball , lol its so entertaining , and further more how many games acctually give you an achievement for dominating someone and making them leave the game lol . tf2 is great fun and cheap ! go for it and hope 2 see you on valvemaps

not that you probably need further encouragement at this point, but i suggest you look into tf2. as stated previously, you don't need to switch divisions, you retain your "e" tag whichever game you are playing, and it's extremely fun. absolutely my favorite game.

cmon now....everyone knows TF2 Rocks!!!!....however some people are more prone to other divisions and games.....I know for a fact I LOVE TF2 (wish my laptop was fixed so I could play again).....but I suck at DOD and INS.....so I mean some people excel in other games......but the fact still remains

TF2 ROCKS!!!!!!!!

Lol, the same DOD and INS are way to slow pace for me, so I get killed like 20 times in a row then rage. Tf2 just has a great sense of humor, and can keep me playing for 6-7 hours straight

jeesh, you guys are really excited about tf2! I'll certainly look into it some more. thanks for the help gang!
