[poll] TF2

it depends how they release it on steam just single games like how they released DoD:S if you dont buy the box you can only buy one game for $20 and basically since you want EP2 and Portal thats about $60 if you buy them seperate if it costs $20 each on the steam release you need half life 2 blah blah blah (also i have no idea how much they will make the steam released ones cost)

plus remember the diff boxes when half life 2 came out bronze silver platinum and the people who didnt have the one with all the games had to buy the steam release of DoD:S

so in this case its one box or buy the games seperate

During the July 2006 Electronic Arts press conference, Valve revealed that Team Fortress 2 would ship as the multiplayer component of Half-Life 2: Episode Two. A conference trailer demonstrated the game's new graphical style featuring all of the original Team Fortress classes, points towards a more light-hearted and whimsical visual style as opposed to the dark, somewhat more traditional military simulation that had originally been shown. Gabe Newell, the managing director of Valve, has said their goal is to create "the best looking and best-playing class-based multiplayer game." The game will be sold retail as part of The Orange Box. He also stated on a video interview with IGN, that the game will be available on Steam on October 10, 2007.

Yeah i read somewhere that if you do buy the orange box and already have HL2 and EP1, that you can give the orange box versions to people over steam. So im probably just gonna let a friend have them and buy the orange box.

Absolutely going to be playing TF2, its going to be the best MP game of 2007/8 IMO.

I just, don't like them. :P

Okay, I didn't like Team Fortress Classic (TFC) as much because I was super addicted to Counter-Strike at the time, and Capture the Flag was getting a bit stale. Now let's see, 7 years of CS, at least 5 years with DoD, I need something new for a change. I thought Crysis was going to be the fix, but now I have seen how ridiculously fun TF2 is. They have a very stylish and humorous theme blended with a full array of classes, weapons and some funny taunts too! (wow I'm starting to sound like a cereal commerical...)

Trust me, after you give it a whirl you're going to be hooked!!!

Hell, TF with rag dolls is enough for me to get it. As anyone who knows me will verify, my favorite quote on the servers is:

=(eGO)=masterofpuppets: I LOVE RAG DOLL PHYSICS!!!!

Thore - There was supposed to be two releases: Black box and Orenge box. Orenge contains everything including HL2 and EP1, where as BlackBox (what you want) contains only the three new games, EP2, TF2, Portal.

The problem? - apparently several articals point to a decision to cancle the black box - its orenge or bust. Next choice - buy the orenge box and get 3 CD keys (to give out if not used or needed) or to download - I think it jus tget tied to your account, nogiving away. Howeve,r I assume ther must be SOME advantage of downlading - cheaper perhaps? onyl my guess.
