Medic kill taunt

The reason they won't incorperate a taunt kill into the medic is that 2 of his 3 weapons are upgrades. Instead of the new standard of lateral movement. There is no reason not to use the bleuntsauger or the ubersaw. So why bother giving them something extra?

Well, i know medics who prefer the bonesaw to the ubersaw, just because the ubersaw is slower. and the blutsager does not crit on its own, so dedicated combat medics use the regular needle gun.

I consider myself a combat medic....and I use the blutsauger (of course I use the ubersaw as my primary). IMHO, the regular needle gun is pretty useless...if anything its a last resort weapon and one shouldn't rely on getting crits with it.

scout has the sandman taunt kill

ah, i was missing a major point when i originally posted the question about taunt kills: the taunt kills are added with the class update. at least, i'm assuming this is the case, it would explain the complaint about the lack of medic taunt kill. wow, i'm way behind on this thread, haha :chair:

Yea, the crit chance is too low for it to be worth it. And also, with the blutsauger it is an 8 point total exchange. Them taking 5, you gaining 3, every time. And even if the ubersaw is slightly slower, the advantage of gaining ubercharge out weighs it by a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG shot.

u know...ever since i heard about TF2 (b4 iplayed) my friend told me about the Medic...

Kinda envisioned the medic throwing syringes like needles >.>

(HEYDUS, i see ur still using my sig that i made for ya Iceman, woot woot!)

I thought about this for a bit...Like the taunt kill, a Thermometer . Medic yells out, "Bend-dover!" whoever is close by like a heavy yells out. "AHHHHHGGG"
That would be rather epic to die from a thermometer...everyone's worst fear :P

ya i have nightmares about that all the time.....

The Taunt kill phase of valve started during the pyro update, so the medic is currently the only class without a taunt kill. But we don't need medics running around taunt killing, thats not their job. It would cause alot of gameplay issues when you rush a sentry and your medic is trying to taunt kill a heavy. But, valve did say there will be a minor update to every class before the sniper update,so anything is possible.

It doesn't matter that much whether we 'need' medics running around taunt killing. Every character has specialties but no one can demand another player to stick with a specific job. I like to play medic but any 1 that knows me knows I kill more than I heal. That's just how I like to play. Some players get upset sometimes when I run by and didn't stop to heal. Sorry. But it's ultimately my decision to heal ya or not. I would love to have a taunt kill but I am practical enough to know not to try to use it ALL the time.

BTW I happened to love the blutsauger. It allows me to heal myself and kick butt at the same time. I just wish it was a bit more powerful. A medic should have access to the most deadliest poisons after all!

But isn't afterdamage, the pyro's job?

A medic taunt would be pretty cool, however, I'm going to have to side with Iceman on this one.

You are still a medic, remember that. If you are not fighting, you should be healing. You have the ability, and you?re not doing anything else, so there?s no reason you should not be.
Likewise, if you?re low on health you should retreat and heal a teammate until you?re strong enough to continue. If you have an ?ber, don?t waste it by dying; use it on someone and then continue fighting. If a teammate is near death or burning, heal them.
Following this keeps your team from being angry at you and you get more points, too. :P

Well yes but alot of people yell at you either way. Especially when you go for the Placebo Effect achievement. When I went for it I prob lost at least 5 ubers...people weren't happy lol but there were a few that were ok and went...ohh ur going for that.

Tho its as he said...it all depends on ur style of play. Currently I play scout alot(love speed in games more than anything and yeah) and I tend to be more 'Shoot, Stab and Kill' than 'Capture the intelligence'. Tho for some that go battle medic they may prefer to just shoot and stab than heal because then at least people get used to it. Tho your points do make sense.

I do agree. But if the intelligence is the objective, then that is more important than points. Especially on a map with instant respawn. Good communication should be enough to keep teammates from getting upset about something they didn't initially understand. ;)

True. The objective is always more important than points, I just said you earn more points when you do both at the same time to grab the attention of point hungry players. :P

Good communication is the key for all your in game problems. :)

If there is ever going to be a taunt kill for the medic, it should be the one where he snaps his glove.
