This is the fist video tutorial I have ever done, so I apologize ahead of time for any slurring/sporadic talking. It's a bit difficult to think, talk, and design at the same time. I will be making more for you guys and with practice I'll get much better at it.

This is made for beginner Photoshop users who know the basics of copy/paste and other essentially basic editing commands within photoshop (creating new layers and such). I didn't spoon feed the commands to you, but hopefully someone will be able to follow along.

Btw this video is completely unedited. And basically I say basically a lot. :glare:

Correction: I said "no spread" for the glow effect in the blending options but the spread is actually 2.

And that's a bad thing?

I think it's the most versatile tool in Photoshop and the pen tool can me utilized countless different ways, not only with brushes but in collaboration with almost every other tool in the program.
 
Thanks for taking the time to make this video.
Everyone has their own unique way of using the tools in an art program and its cool to watch someone else do their thing, you learn different ways to get the job done.

haven't watched it yet... netflix... but the pen tool is the only tool i use in illustrator... photoshop... well i really don't use it much anymore.
 
I am not knocking the pen tool by any means, I use it for all my logo and print work in Illustrator, and whenever I do non-scalable things in Photoshop. But to that, just saying I would have done that design just with the paintbrush tool without the path. I guess it depends what setup you have, and since I use my Wacom it's easier.

Yeah if I had a tablet I would have definitely done without the path.
