Crank: High Voltage

[Sexy Beast]

This past weekend I went to see Crank: High Voltage and I have to say...holy crap.

This is one of the most hyperactive films I've ever scene. From start to finish it is a non-stop roller coaster of blood and violence. Then out of no where the film will break in to pure surrealism, one such scene (Spoiler)

the characters turn in to paper-m?ch? giants and proceed to have a godzilla style fight

for no reason.

The closest thing that I can think of to this movie is the first 10 minutes of Dead or Alive(Miike): I would post a link to it...but it's not eGO friendly.

Anyway, I recommend it. Crank: High Voltage is a film that only comes around once in a while and I doubt I'll see anything like it coming out of the States any time soon.

Well this movie is a MASSIVE win in the style over substance category. Normally I'm a stickler for a good story to back up my violence...but here it's not needed.

I agree with Sexy Beast, this movie was so hard-core I came out with my heart racing, pumped up. Similar to the first time I was 300.

As a major Crank fan I have to say this movie really ruined the series for me.

I LOVED Crank, it's one of my favourite movies, but 2 just ruined it with over the top nonsense.

It had it's moments and awesome parts, but as a whole, no thanks.
