Need help with Photoshop CS4...

Ok, here is what i need to understand... How do i animate a single layer in photoshop? I have read about 50 tutorials online, and for some reason i just do not understand. And since they took Imageready away, and incorporated it into PS, i am lost.... All i want to do, is gradually increase the glow effect on a layer, and then decrease it again.......

First you need your animation window (Window->animation).

Then click the little arrow next to the layer you want to have that animation on.

Now click the little clock next to 'style'.

Next move your time indicator to where you want your glow to be at it's brightest (or darkest)

then go to in your layer styles and change your glow setting to what you want it to be...

Click play

Ok i got how to do it, but when i export, its quality looks so crappy...any suggestions?

Go to File > Save for Web & Device

and make sure you select loop: Forever, that is if you want it
