Who likes party mode?

Wait a second, the fun server lags enough as it is. Perhaps it isn't such a good idea for the fun server either. Wouldn't be fair for certain players not being able to go to events becuz of this plugin.

this would not cause any extra server lag (latency).
only graphics/performance lag on your computer only (if your computer is lower end)

It comes down to CPU / Video performance really... the party mode stuff is all fine and dandy if you have a nice rig

Slower rigs with lower performance usually are the ones to experience loss of frames which appears to be lag (watch your ping)...

I'm all for it ! quad core//sli//8GB RAMM etc...

I't wouldnt hurt to try it out, Alot of servers run it, I guess it's being progressive using the party mode since it is fun, and everyone likes to party =p

I have no problem with birthday mode except that you can see the party hats on cloaked spies.(Birthday for everyone else deathday for spy) It's good for events but in a server I don't think it would really matter.

Normally i don't really like party mode, not that it's not fun, i just think it spoils the server.

However; I don't know if it would even be possible, but could you not just enable party mode for the player themselves?

ie. the birthday boy/girl has to wear the hat and everytime they die THEY explode into confetti & ballons etc rather then just every player on the server.

another thing that i think would be cool with this idea; everyone is likely to pick on the birthday person just for the lulz

edit: i guess this'd only work for =[eGo]= members that submit their birthdate?

what is the big deal about party mode, you guys make it out to be some kind of server crashing, evil, add-on.

Everytime I play it's party-mode so it doesn't bother me either way, but lets not get carried away about party-mode being an evil doer.
