Soooooo.. In case you haven't caught the drift.. They are just hating because..
1.) We are a huge clan..
2.) We are leet..
3.) They got banned from eGO servers..
Figured i would say it again in case ya missed it in every post on the first 2 pages.

I get such things on L4D servers all the time if I forget to take my tags off prior to playing an open game. Most of the time, they'll ask how big we are, why we're "so uptight" in their words. I just answer what I can and just play, no big deal.
Worse come to worse, I have played with some former members, some of whom went and started other anti-eGO type clans. It wasn't pretty, but they rage-f10'd before I did, so it's no big deal.

If you have a mic and can respond and explain the clan most intelligent normal people will see they got the wrong idea from one of there illustrious friends that seems to hate us so.
Being banned from a server really ticks people off, especially if they got caught...Cheaters hate getting caught, and thats what we do, we bust the punks !
No criminals like Batman, eGO is the Batman of the gaming world !
I agree With everyone its a shame that You had such a bad expierence ive learned when something like taht happens just ignore them they get amusement from you antaginising it just gives them fuel for the fire but im really sorry for that i know from what ive heard from other ppl i play with about this clan is how they love the rules and i agree so hope you have fun without what they may have said.
I have witnessed the same problems you have, being banned on arrival on some servers in CS:S as well. The reason for this, is that we are an anomaly in the gaming community. Now, we are a giant anomaly, growing steady every month. The gaming community is full of hate, and we try to bring about as little of it as possible, so when people who are full of hate join our servers and get politely removed, they hold grudges.
Do what i do, take it as a compliment. They hate you so much, because you are a more caring person then they are, and have less hate in your system then them.

Well this has put my mind at ease. However, I was just banned from two of my favorite non-eGO servers because of the tag. It's a shame really because in one of them, the admins put it to a vote: 3:5 against my favor. Some admins wanted to keep me in the server, some wanted to ban me, and a few just bowed out and let the others argue over the decision.
It does strike me as interesting that I have only been playing this game for less than 30 accumulated hours and I already have admins of certain servers fighting to keep me in as well as seeing other player compliment me for past games - people who I don't ever remember playing with.
Regardless, I shall stick with my decision and if ever the situation presents itself, I shall defend the eGO as I normally handle any situation.
Oh, and I was wondering about something. I work in the oilfield, so swearing/cussing is a normal thing for me at work as it helps anyone assimilate to the environment. While gaming, I have yet to find it necessary to swear in any situation unless I am casually talking to my friends. I know I let one slip a few days ago in the 2Fort server and Jaxory politely reminded me of the rules. I was wondering if there is a limit or usage parameters to getting kicked/banned for using profanity. I would understand racial slurs, which the only one I ever use is cracker just because I find it hilarious, plus I'm white but that shouldn't matter.

members don't get warnings for breaking rules, instant kick. If it continues to be a problem, then stronger action can/will be taken.
not pressing the push to talk key does wonders. :drool:

Never had this ever.
I have gotten this before also. The main reason for someone's hostility torwards you is because they have been kicked or banned from our servers before for breaking the rules. They are a generally angry person and they need to curse at other players and make them feel bad about themselves while playing a game. These people can not act like this on eGO servers and they hate us because of it.

I'll just throw in my side real quick since it looks like this thread is slowing down.
The only time I've ever gone to another server besides eGO was to work on my achievements (because sadly I care about hlx too much). During these occasions, I've actually payed attention to see if there was any hostility towards me because I am well aware of the hatred some people have against eGO. There hasn't been a time where anyone even mentioned my existence, I was just like another pub.
I assume I've just joined the right servers, and that none of their admins/members have been banned, but I haven't had any problems so far in any game.
I think Tiddy said it well. The fact that there are thousands of servers out there, yet they still hold this hostility towards us shows how much they actually miss our servers. What they want is to be exempt from the rules, just them, but still be in the 'eGO' environment. I've read most of those anti-eGO forum threads, and I truly enjoy them because most of the posts start out as "Oh yeah eGO sucks, they banned me..." and that's where I get all the information I need.

Yeah, I had a guy I played a lot with, we went to eGO server (blackmesa) and started playing there a lot and soon we both decided to join eGO! After a while my friend started to play more on other servers while i decided to stick to eGO. Later he was banned from eGO (id rather not go into details on this) and after he started talking about how much eGO sucks and how the rules here are stupid...I think its just sad, cause people that act like that are just sad cause they cant play here anymore cause its such a good community here.

i was playing on a css server 1 day and there was these guys like "hes from eGO ban him i got banned from there because i was cursing, i mean come on this game is rated Mature."
this really ticked me off i was going to call him out for it. i decided not to make the matters worse so i left.
so basically most of the people bad mouth eGO are just are just arrogant and only care about themselves.

To me this isn't anything to worry about - A lot of people in fact like Frank Booth stated were banned and ended up telling friends in which generated a hate for us.
Numerous times have people reported or tried to have eGO servers removed from the lists and as well have eGO members banned.
We are widely known, and with fame does come the rivals whom wish to steal the limelight from you.
Its like hollywood, you sit on top there always will be people who will target and try to tear you down.
You just gotta hold you tag and head up high and let them wallow in the flith they sit in.
Some remove their tags, I walk in with my Tag worn proudly and if they ban me - It shows me how great WE eGO really are and I don't fret.
If they are so raged to ban eGO members just let it show that they couldn't handle our great enviormment.

Among other comments, swine filled insults and the piles of mock - It mostly is the people who got banned for breaking rules, hated our rules, left the clan in rage of us or just are assholes and it never bothered me.
