Universally Hated Now?

I only read the first post and did not read the replies. A true eGO member would only play on eGO servers, that's my opinion. But it's true, ESPECIALLY IN TF2, all of the =e= members that are playing outside of the eGO servers are disrespectful. Everyone on this site is against it, but we can't control our members in other servers. It is a good idea, while you're an =e=, to take off that tag when you're joining other servers. It does kinda give us a bad reputation, but there's nothing we can do.

I strongly suggest you read at least the first two pages.

e's are not the only hated people out there. eGO's get the same crap - everywhere. Probably worse. For my sanity when I had on the eGO tag, I simply took it off when I was not on our server.

And in response to Stalkout_002:

I'm not sure why you would vision the "true eGO member" to play only on our servers. I'd like to mention that if you have only played on eGO servers, then you are missing out. You guys should definitially try out other maps that eGO does not support so you can suggest them as needed for events, servers, and etc.

You won't be frowned upon if you remove the tags when you are on non-ego servers. I'd actually RECOMMEND it, so you aren't harassed and abused. Remember what games are for: Fun, and time wasting. eGO members are allowed to play wherever and whenever they want, just remember, when you take off the tags on another server be sure to add them back before joining in ours, so there is not any confusion if you are apart of this community or not.

EDIT:

Also note, if you do want to go on a rampage on other servers without your tag, that is your problem and not eGO's. As long as you wear the tag, you are apart of our community and you represent US. With that being said, all of our rules apply while eGO is an extension of your name.

Professionally said, Crash. This explains everything.

it doesnt matter what you do...when you try to run something in a clean and mature manner there are always gonna be ppl that hate...idk if these ppl are just uber stupid...or if they just cant handle the fact that they arent mature enough to follow our rules...good luck with tryin to change the publics opinion...i think that its a noble cause...but i dont think that you will change many ppls minds...there are a lot of things that you can fix in life...but you just cant fix stupid..

ps...im with micron...i wont remove my tags...its something i wear proudly..even though im just a target (as far as my rank is concerned)...i have no desire to appease the idiots of the world...besideds...if they are busy hatin on me or the clan...i might get an opportunity to stab or shovel a few ppl...

well we do not let our members get away with it if we see them in anohter server with our tag on we speak with em :]

Remember the saying people hate beauty well I think people hate eGO just because we are better then them :)

I think I see where you're coming from. You may be right, because I do see an awful lot of =(e)= bans. It is a shame that these recruits would behave like that. If you ever actually see one bringing shame, be sure to let someone know. I for one will bring a stop to it pronto.

There has only been one occasion where I felt it necessary to report another member to one of the higher-ups just because of how he was acting (racial epithets, excessive swearing, etc.).

I like to observe people and watch their actions. It helps me in-game especially as a Sniper and Pyro and it also helps me command a team. Just by listening to the voices on TF2, you can get an idea of how old they are, if only just a ballpark number. I understand some of the younger members tend to become immersed easier than the older members and I will bring it to their attention that they need to calm down a bit, but some refuse to listen.

Thanks again for all the responses.

Its definately the size in my view. I've had comments about how they've seen alot of us about. It wasn't intended as negative, but I suppose to some eGO is an example of how people can behave like adults and play a game without profanities, which is a strange idea to the apparent 'haters' of the community.

It's healthy and in some ways im glad a proportion hold hate towards us. It illustrates a problem in the fabric of gaming.

The ones who are making a scene because they have gotten banned normally make more of a noise than a player who has enjoyed their experience here. If something is wrong people will make more of a fuss than if something is right, because you all expect it to be right in the first place. In regards to players who are abusive, just report them. If they are =(e)= members themselves provide screenshots of them giving you abuse with a screenshot of their ID and I'm sure you can get something done about it.

Lol that could of been me. (Swearing only ofc)
I have a bad mouth on me!
I control myself most of the time though
:]

Thankfully I've never come across anything like this, and i hope i don't either but that's just the way the world works.

Very rarely, people have had a go at me whilst I've been on non-eGO servers, but that's usually been down to frustration or having a go at my playing style (I can't help being awesome, that's just the way i play  ) as opposed to being part of a clan that is universally recognized.

I take the point that many people have put forward regarding removing your eGO tag whilst playing on other servers. I wouldn't consider it to be a challenge, but even if i was to take grief for wearing my tag, I'd carry on playing and hope that in the process it'd bury any myths players out there may have about people in a community like ours.

I guess I am just an anomaly when it comes to e-thugs. This is the first game I regularly play Online where I can talk to the other people as opposed to just typing. Before this, I only played (and still do) Diablo II LoD Online and could easily deal with the rampant e-thugs there. I also played GTA IV and Halo 2 Online for a few days and even that wasn't bad. So when someone gets on their mic and starts spouting off at the mouth about how much we suck **** or why we are all gay with each other, I can only laugh it off as I find it as nothing but absolutely hilarious that someone would spend that much time bad-mouthing someone else for absolutely no reason at all. In real life, those people would most likely get hit in the mouth after only a few seconds, so I see no reason to get angry or upset when someone does it to me Online. Since we cannot physically harm them, I find it best to just beat them in points, which regardless of what they might tell you, having more points than them pisses them off something fierce in most cases.

Alternatively, I have heard people just tell me to mute them, but that is what they want and I refuse to bow down and let someone control my actions. The only people I actively mute are mic spammers (only if it truly is annoying, some is either funny or amusing if they play good music). For instance, the other day on a CP map, one guy spent a good fourty-five minutes yelling in his mic about how much I love sucking the admins dicks just so I could get permission to use the =e= tag. Every time he would stop talking long enough to take a breath or just stop in general, I would tell him to keep going. Eventually he got tired and left the server - a win in my book. When he came back, he said I was a really good player and that he felt bad for bashing me and eGO for so long - another win in my book. I only hope that I can keep this momentum going as I have heard from a lot of people who regularly play Online (Halo 2 mainly) that the griefing will get to me and it will turn me into a very angry person, only to find myself doing it to someone else some day. This, of course, will never happen to me.

I guess if you can take what people say with a grain of salt, it won't matter what they say or even how long the continue saying it. If you can shrug it off, then you should never have anything to worry about.

Nicely said. I'd like to add, there are small pockets of communities with the same basic values as eGO, yeah the rules are a little different and allow swearing, but these guys don't ban for tags, or for holding previous grudges they ban for reason, and hard evidence. Not all servers are bad, don't be afraid to venture out there into the big bad world of other servers.

And good on you.
That last bit just shows how people are influenced by the way you play and react to people like that. But it's not just that guy in particular, you've got to remember the rest of the players on that server; you'll have made a positive impression on them too, based on the way you say you handled that kind of situation.

I'm not saying I'd have dealt it in the same way, but that's just the way i do things. The point being, as has been mentioned several hundred times before, when you wear the =e= tag, you represent eGO as a whole. Now, that guy won't just respect you, but eGO as well (hopefully) :P

The size and welcoming nature of the our clan attracts alot of new memebrs and as you'v found out some are not as keen on the rules as others. This makes the non eGO community be a little cautios to =(e)=s. However this shoudnt be a problem, once the community recognises you for you and not your tag then you will be welcomed. And anyway we get rid of the bad =(e)=s asap =]

If I'm on a non-eGO server and people suddenly hate me for being in eGO then I'll just leave. We have many servers of our own, where we will always be welcome. I only play on non-eGO servers if I want to go surfing, and I've found two surf servers with admins who couldn't care less if I'm in eGO or not.

yea man eG's get about the same "Crap" so to speak as e's and eGO's do...it is true that they simply dont like us because we ban the punks...remember guys as part of eGO we are a family and we stick together :)

I am unsure if this is even the correct terminology for it, but I ran into a "Hunter Clan" last night and apparently, eGO is one of their targets. In front of their names were a bunch of random symbols in an order to resemble a tree or shrub (at least, that's what it looks like to me). Anyways, we were in a Payload server, so I figured the object was to push to cart like I have done in the 500+ Payload maps I have played before. Last night was not the case as these shrub people's only agenda was to kill me and some AuG members. They didn't care about blocking the cart, they just wanted to kill us. All spies, so we were only backstabbed. After they would kill us, they would spam the text box with "Cry Moar Plz N00bz!!!" and play recordings of babies crying at the end of the round.

With all Payload maps, I am a Sniper first and foremost; but after the spies began rushing us, I went Pyro and they rarely got a kill on me. Nevertheless, it was annoying having to constantly spy check myself.

Now from what I have heard, they don't ever play but to kill other people and they seldom will go into an Arena game because that would mean they might have to work with other people and actually use skill to win. Until last night, I never thought there were pvp clans on TF2 aside from the Arena clans like ZG and +_+.
