Killing Floor

This game is pretty good but it doesn't feel nearly as polished as a Valve game. Some parts feel down-right cheesy. You need to try it with a group of friends though. Playing by yourself as an invitation to a butt kicking.

Thats my concern as well. It 'looks' lame and that's its problem in my opinion. None of the shot here impress me at all.

The game is built on the Unreal 2004 engine so it's going to look a little dated to everyone.

Hmm..Should I get it? I saw some of the London vids and the voices are grating. I hate the overuse of 'Bloody' in half the phrases the AI will spit out. >.>

The reason why Killing Floor looks "outdated" is because Tripwire is using the Unreal 2.5 Engine. The main reason why they used this engine was because of the licensing fee. They wanted to wanted everyone to be able to run the game and afford it.

After a few hours of playing I find this game for fun than Left 4 Dead. You also have to remember the orginal mod Killing Floor came out way before Left 4 Dead.

After some more play time, the core gameplay is more entertaining than L4D but I hope the fan base wont leave because the L4D SDK has finally been released.

yeah I tried normal mode alone and then with my brother, and i still haven't completed it lol
looks like you need a full team for anything above normal

Well the game is totally kick ass, so far. The only thing that gets me is the lack of weapons and how ridiculously far away the weapons sales are. I also kind of hate how you cant see crap when you are being attacked. Other than that the zombies are cool, the graphics are clean, and totally fun to play. It can get intense even in beginner mode.

I just got it. There's an unofficial eGO steam group for it, i suggest you join, I need someone to play with...

I have been playing this game for the last few days, almost all day. It is extremely fun. Extremely challenging, even on normal. I have yet to find a full team of people that are skilled and good enough to kill the boss on normal. The game is much better than L4D. They both have their high points, but I prefer the monster variety on KF. I would recommend it to anyone who likes L4D. The graphics are a bit dated, but it is still a ton of fun. If you don't like it at first, buy a chainsaw :)

After playing this game at my friends house for a little while, it just lacked the content. This game would be amazing if they added some more story to it. Dont get me wrong its a great game, but it just didnt seem complete, Its only got one weapon of each type, and theres only like 5 maps, this seemed more like a demo rather than a full game. If they added some type of objective to the levels rather than just waves, it would be awesome! like trying to escape via a helicopter or boat or something, a mix between left 4 dead and this game would create the perfect game. Man i should be a critique! Dont get me wrong i thought this game was great but it seemed like one of those games that could get very boring very fast.

what's with people and complaining that there is not enough weapons? First it was L4D, now this.

Is there some new rule that if the game doesn't have atleast 20+ weapons its not that great?

I personally enjoy the weapon choice just like L4D: not too few but not too many

The game is fun, I can see why some people want objectives but l4D is basically a "Point A to B" game with surviving waves at the end of each campaign and no one really complained about that. Plus people play Survival Mode and love it, yet I hear people on the Steam forums say they wish it was more than surviving waves. Really?
