have you ever used the curves adjustment?
you can make the lighter parts appear brighter and the darker parts darker
otherwise it's pretty cool

I did I used alot of curves, and levels layers to get it like that. It was intended to feel dark. Almost like the subject has a personal agenda.

It's nice.. But the bottom looks too dark to me. Could also use something extra.. But very nice !
