having lots of PB trouble with cod5. every time I join a server I get kicked about 30 seconds in for "corrupted memory/file" error #120148. I did memtest, the long one, came back with no memory errors. fully reinstalled PB for cod4 and cod5. no results. help?

Do you have FRAPS? If so, disable it and try joining a server.
