Geeking out old school.
Pen & Paper, D&D moments! I play 3.5, just so you know.
Moment 1: Today:
I am told that 'Shatter' can work on weapons. It make them break apart, yeah? I turn to the DM and say 'Ok. I cast Shatter on the knife embedded in the Orcs leg.' Made the knife violently break apart within the wound and took out his ability to use that leg.
Moment 2: Many months ago:
This was was a 'DM bends the rules' moment. I had the Phantasmal Hand (or whatever) and my Shocking Grasp lasted long enough for me to cast many times. It only uses ONE HAND (though official rules state another casting makes the first fade, apparently). So I cast it on my right hand, my left hand, and my little, floating hand.
Then I fried a litch so bad, we had to invent the first Litchmas Tree. All 3 hit, with a max level Shocking Grasp, and all three were nearly max-damage.
Why not post your own (please be true) stories of D&D fame? Geek out with me!
