yea i tried heavy to start wit after the medic. the heavy is pretty hard. to me the easiest was engineer

I found the best way to learn....is jump in there.....medic is ok...but some players get mad if you dont do medic well....id say Engie

I would suggest you start out as a heavy. All you have to do as a heavy is shoot the other team, absorb damage, and be a "medic buddy". Its also a good starter class because you don't have to aim all that much.

my two cents bc no one has mentioned it yet:

soldier. very balanced and uncomplicated class that can handle most of the other classes in 1v1. shotgun and rocket launcher are easy to grasp as everyone has used those in other games.

I started out as a soldier and pyro, simply because those classes are pretty easy, but before you actually know what is good you just have to play a lot and you will see it.

Also try to look at what classes usually kill you, and why they kill you, you can then develop some kind of tactics against those attacks.

Selected your class, try to be the medic of one of the best players of that class, just looking at their style gives you so much information how you should play the class, then when you practise a lot and a lot you will be able to create your own style.
