[SOLVED]:Please HELP!!!!

New problem *sigh* figured i'd just edit this post instead of making a new one

I need help once again, i'm getting errors now whenever i open a program that say "This application requires Adobe air to function. Please download the latest of the runtime" I downloaded Adobe AIR from their main site, and i got that same error when trying to run the installer.

Any ideas? :(

formatting your Hard drive (Hopefully you have a windows install disk) would help. Be sure to use some virus protection next time, man. I suggest Comodo Firewall and AVG. In fact. after you reinstall install both those apps immediately.

Unfortunately, formatting isn't an option for me. I don't have install disks, or anything to backup my files with. I'll defo check those programs out if i ever get this fixed though..

Sounds like you have a trojan or even alot of spyware i would go download spybot search and destroy, probably a good idea to network your computer to another and run a scan though the other computer over the network if that dosnt work, then you might have to reinstall windows if you do that i suggest getting spybot search and destroy and watch the files you download.

Can you get on steam? If so add me frapkiller ill help you out.

At least this is a good wake up call. Security programs are a must. As are back-up disks. If you end up having to reformat, it's too late to make a backup now, don't want to risk transferring the virus again.

My friend had this a while ago
Basically he got what looked like a legit Windows page that asked for him to install anti-virus
He, not knowing, installed it and got his computer MESSED up
Not sure if he ever fixed it or not

Yeah, defiently a big wakeup call, i get careless too often :P But anyways, spybot fixed things for the most part. I still have that problem with my desktop and taskbar, but my internet, task manager and everything else is working fine now.

Thanks everyone for the help! Another reason why i love eGO!!!

Here is a pic of the things spybot removed

Ah, "good" old virtumonde. One time I couldn't get online, so I did a scan and found out I had that... then I realized it wasn't the problem, and that I had my security set too high from the last virus I got.

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

Now that you have spybot make sure you enable the Teatimer (to protect your registry from unauthorized changes) and the other thing cannot remember what its for. but it should be on the same page as the Teatimer enabler thingy magig.

Teatimer will get annoying once you first enable it anytime you install/uninstall a program it will ask for permission to change the registry, all you gotta do is click yes a bunch and it will do its work. Good against trojans and such that try and change your registry. It's saved me a couple of times i know that.

This sounds like one of those "rogue" anti-virus programs: They're "anti-virus" programs that themselves are just as malicious and trick/blackmail you into buying their software for money. Read up online on this, there's lots of these buggers out there, and each one is a bit different.

yeah, once I got a HUGE firewall breach, my internet explorer took up the whole screen, It was flashing saying that I needed to download a spyware removed, I couldnt close it, I opened up Task Manager, tried to shut it down there, still didnt work, so I restarted in safe mode, and good thing I have pctools(aka spyware doctor) and I did a full scan, and it came up with a high-threat trojan from a flash game that I had played a LONG time ago, I'm guessing it was a sleeper trojan(kinda like sleeper cells). It Quarantined it, and then removed it from my laptop. It permanently damaged my security options menu (when you press cntrl+alt+delete) But I can still do cntrl+shift+esc to open task manager. It's $20 for it, but it'll be worth it: http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/?ref=afl_nenextech

Easy solution, had an in-law with this issue. Download "Malwarebytes Anti-Malware". It's free, and will in fact remove this piece of malware on the machine. Highly recommended spyware/malware removal. It found things that both a spybot and adaware scan missed.

EDIT: I see someone else suggested it as well. I've stopped using anything else, as MWBAM seems to pick up everything the others get and then some...

Try a system restore and then re-scan. but restore your machine to like....a week ago. not just a few hours. Just an Idea.

Same error when trying to run system restore, gonna try to do it in safe mode

Nothing.. I'm gonna go and reinstall windows now. :(
