I just wanted to let everyone know I've been beta testing Battlefield Heroes, I don't know how the server will work as far as renting them, but I think it would be a very fun game for eGO. It's by EA and it's going to be a free download and free to play. The best way i can explain the game is it's like a mix of TF2 and DODS, it's cartoony like TF2 but play like alot of the other Battlefield games. If anyone would like to play with me, add me to Xfire (link in signature). If I remember right, my "primary" chraracter is a lvl 8 ... I cant remember what the "class" is called. Let's say Heavy, y'know, the guy with machine gun =) This would work for eGO, except that there's no real server browser, it will always join you to game that matches your skill, and has a good ping for you. You can join your friend game by entering his characters name in to some search box thingie. Also if you happen to find a cool server, you can bookmark it and join it whenever you like ^^

I liked it at first, then I played some more more and got sick of it. I've been spoiled by Valve shooter's balance (vehicles are fun, but they just don't work that well).

It needs some serious class balancing before it could get launched.

The Gunner and Soldier are NOTHING compared to the Commando. You can't beat someone who can snipe, be invisible, sneak up behind someone and knife them to death before they can turn around, poison them, plant det packs, and do more damage with relatively simple aim at close-range. I always won against anyone using a shotgun when they tried to pin my commando, it still took them multiple shots and I could get enough headshots off to drop them.

Just think about giving the Spy in TF2 a sniper rifle, poison, the ability to kill someone in three knife-stabs from any side and then dropping him into a map with four Heavies with okay but minimal ways to defend themselves fast enough at that range; he's going to win.

That knife is really fun, though.

Agreed. However that awful camera made this game so bad. Play just if you have nothing better to do. It gets boring pretty soon. If anyone wants a beta key just pm me, i have about a dozen of them.

eGO supporting a game like this is a pretty big step. Not to mention the fact that it does not support clan tags. Also, servers don't have an admin system.

I wasn't that impressed with the beta either. Like all the BF games, it's got serious balance issues IMO.

It'll be a shame if nobody plays it though. Free games are something I could certainly get used to.

I'm really enjoying the game personally, I do play a commando and feel overpowered...lol. I wish they would fix the friend search, as I wish to not slip on a banana peel every time I look for my friends game.

Yeah i played the beta for some time and even though i love Battlefield games, this one just didnt feel right, its fun and all but... I cant play it for more than one or two rounds in a row.

Just signed up for the beta. If they fix the camera and the commando this might be a decent game for eGO. Having small tourneys for collections of items and such.
