well ever since i got ventrillo it has never worked 1, but teamspeak i use and works perfectly.... so my problem is when people talk i get like a static sound with a bit of there voice and some words,

Processor: AMD Athlon X2 5200+ 2.6GHz (Dual Core) (2 MB Cache) w/HyperTransport
Motherboard: Asus M2N-SLI (Chipset: nForce 570 SLI) (nVIDIA SLI Comp.) (AM2)
Memory: 2GB DDR2 Corsair at 667MHz (Dual Channel)
Video Card: nVidia GeForce 8800GTS 640MB (By: eVGA) (PCI-Express)

thats what i got but i upgraded memory and added another vid card.
 
yes to the exact preference and i also changed it to like every setting i could figure out and still nothing. so i reset it back to eGO setup.
 
Well, it seems as if this is a problem on their side, but if you're getting it from everyone you talk to, I would suggest going over those settings again (sorry!). You should check out any inbound settings, those would be what would fix it. To me it sounds more like simply a Ventrilo settings issue than anything. Unfortunately for these forums, not everyone on earth is signed up here, so you may want to try something more open, possibly Yahoo! Answers. That being said, I'm sure someone in these forums will have your answer for you if playing with the settings once again does not work.
