So looking around i kind of wondered whats up with the fish on windows 7 , well every one here is the answer........ drum roll please ...

The Siamese fighting fish (Betta splendens), also known as the "beta fish" or just "betta", is one of the most popular species of freshwater aquarium fish. It is native to the rice paddies of Thailand and Cambodia and called pla-kad or trey .

OMG , Microsoft with a scence of humor :o im amazed , and yes its true guys. wanna know more windows 7 secrets , ill post more as i keep looking.

Just incase your hung-over or just woke up , windows 7 is a beta OS , and the fish is default wallpaper , hence beta fish .. ha ha ha ha M$ is halarious right

xD I didn't even make that connection, I just assumed they were sticking with their nature theme (last OS, most of their longhorn and Vista alpha distributions used blades of grass w/ water to show off transparency effects, and of course XP has the grassy hill)

That is actually pretty funny, I gotta admit, Win 7 is shaping up to be a nice OS... but I can honestly see some people getting very angry, /this/ is what Vista should've been, to anyone who spent $$$ on upgrading to Vista, MS is going to have to give some kind of discount, or I can see a lot of angry customers rising up ;p

this was discussed , there will be no discount , but if you have vista you can upgrade cheap , keep in mind i dont support that tho lol . and ong yes if you wanna know i do admit i had a lil free time on my hands lol

really looking forward to the release of Windows 7.
there has been a lot of complaints aimed at vista since it was brought out and i think some of it was deserved, but 7's shaping up to be a major improvement.

I've been messing around with the pre-beta version and so far i like it, much as i love using XP, it does feel a bit 'blank' by comparison to 7. I can safely say i'll be buying, but i'll probably keep XP up on either a dual boot, or much more likely on a second machine.

I never made the connection, but we used to have a couple of those fish.

keep in mind windows 7 has the xp mode avaliable for download now assuming you cpu supports virtualization
