This post is for everyone to place their hints and tips that help them perform better, I'll start with mine and see what all we come up with.

1. cl_crosshairscale 2000 (or higher) but 2000 is nice and small and still shows recoil.

2. for our server binding keys for !bank and !depositall is a timesaver. When the map ends and we all say gg just press your !deposit all bind.

3. When using the M4A1 at distances use 2 to 3 shot burst around the neck, this will usualy give you 1chest 1head or 2 headshots.

4. When using the AK at distance single shots are best aim for the top of the head or you will register in the arms and chest.

5. Close range spraying with the M4: use a silencer it calms the recoil a bit. If you are not spraying but burst firing close range don't use the silencer.

6. Spraying with the AK. Not a good idea but start at the head then aim lower and towards the middle of the clip start aiming to the left (while going down) But make sure you start at the head.

7. Corners: Learn where the opposing team can be by a certain time and later on in the game use flashes excessively, you may run out of them but chances are late in the game you are closer than you think or far enough away to see them coming.

8. Bomb planting: Stay close to the bomb but not insight of the bomb itself, waiting around a corner to hear those defusal tools going works wonders. Watch for the ninja defusers that run up and pull the wire though.

9. Bomb defusing: If you come up on the bomb unless it has 1 second before it explodes run through it and check around those corners i just told the planters to hide behind!

10. Play nice, people will help you the more you help them. I am not always the best example for this but I try to be kind to all players.

11. Play as a team and coordinate strikes. When on anymap do not send the whole team one way without having a few watching your back or you get flanked fast and die. Rushes can work as long as you drop off a few in the right spots.

That's all I have for now, feel free to ask or critisize any of these, these are what have helped me but maybe someone else doesn't agree which is fine that's what I want to see in this post is everyones take on what helps them. That way readers can get everyone perspective!!

12. The shotguns(semi and nub cannon) are the UNDISPUTED kings of close-in fighting. You drill someone high body with a blast, odds are you'll take his head off with the spray pattern....which brings me to;

13. Shotgun's get less and less accurate the farther off the target is, as the little bits of shot spread out in flight. The closer, the better!

14. Scout shots hurt. Badly. So don't get too miffed if you don't get someone between the eyes. Chances are, you just nicked anywhere from 35-85% of his HP by getting him in the chest or neck. That's just what I see. Your mileage may vary.

15. The M249SAW(Squad Assault Weapon) is a recoil monster. Do NOT try to make fancy, long distance shots with this thing. Rather you're better served leading a rush with it spewing lead the whole time. Dakka! Dakka! Dakka!!

16. Scouting, when scouting large groups of people throw a nade at em, this take down there HP anwhere from 1hp-84hp if you can hit them all for about 40 you can one shot them in the stomach chest or obviously head and kill them. Also scouting in a rush: Aim for the head if your the only on there and keep your distance, I dont know how many double headshots I've had stopping rushes, they all just line up for you!!

17. Use sound to great extents! The enemy's footsteps will let you know where he is coming from, such as around a corner, and will let you know when he is going to show up.

Also, this thread = win

Not really a tip but a note, shotguns are incredibly accurate while jumping (they're already so horribly inacurrate that the developers just would've felt bad making them have bad jump-acc)

The moral of the story is, JUMP N PUMP with the pump shotty, it makes you harder to hit (b/c lets face it, no self respecting player is expecting you to jump)

(p.s: mb304; you make bob cry. bob does not have shadows enabled. D':)

19. Don't crouch with the scout, unless your hiding behind cover. It's a waste of time.

unless your shooting on a slight up/down angle. good example is on dust2 from top A to pit, or pit to top A, scout will not always be accurate with this little variation until you shoot a bit lower (if shooting upwards) or higher (if you're shooting downwards)....or just crouch.

i actually might write up a guide on dust2 strats, see if i can spark some interest and gain some more eGO traffic, what do you guys think of that. i could include pics even

You should definately go for it, lets help our fellow members improve!

21. remember to use your radar to your advantage. Knowing where your team mates are give you a good idea of where your enemies aren't. They'll show you places you won't have to worry about entering, and will show you were your enemies are when a teammate has spotted one. In the end it will just save you a lot of time
