i don't know what i should get!(for my B-day) i want a Computeer that can run pretty well(since my graphics card is only 7350,Nvidia) so, like games like L4D, HL2:EP2,Portal and stuff. any suggestions? also, im getting a desktop.

He said "Gaming and browsing the internet". I'm sure that he was more looking for information along the lines as to whether or not he was planning on doing things such as video editing and such.

I think you misread. I asked if all he cares about is gaming and everyday tasks. As in, does he do any video editing/encoding or photoshop(or any other CPU/RAM intensive programs). Because things like that would be the difference between a dual core and a quad core, amount of RAM, etc.
