So i was playing CS:S and i keep getting quit out of my game i try quitting steam and restarting and i tried reinstalling it and it still keeps on giving me it can someone help me

hl2.exe is mainly used to start or stop any game by steam
so unless you have a firewall to automatically blocking it then it shouldnt happen

it work before and now get it like every 5 minutes

There was an update to Defender files so I would check the firewall.

When it happened to me i just left it alone and it fixed itself...

im having a hlf.exe issue with INS, when i exit my game, i get a message saying HLF.exe has stopped working. and then i try to re-launch INS and it says can only have one instance of the game running, and i have to go into processess and stop the hlf.exe..... this happens every time....

Try going to your firewall and adding EVERY hl2.exe thing to exceptions.
Forward ports too if you have to.

Are you running this on Vista?
If so, run it as an admin.
Go to the game > Click properties > Cheak 'Run as Admin' and if you have to try running it in compatabilty mode.
