Had my monitor blink out on me last week, turns out my PCIe slot on my motherboard is bust, atm i have some 10 year old PCI card(kindly given to me by my tech teacher at college) but got no clue if CSS source can actually run on the computer anymore

....this is my excuse if you totally pwn me in-game lol

(update:Nope, doesnt even load steam games.... dam it all)

Here are the requirements for the game according to steam...if you check your PC and if the PCI card (what card is it?) Fits the minimum then you'll be fine.
Also can someone move this to tech help? I think it belongs in there.



Minimum: 1.2 GHz Processor, 256MB RAM, DirectX 7 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

Recommended: 2.4 GHz Processor, 512MB RAM, DirectX 9 level graphics card, Windows 2000/XP, Mouse, Keyboard, Internet Connection

its more of a what do i do now, as i wont be able to play on steam at all till im able to make a new system
 
hmm... you can always try some video game ROMs, if you liked super nintendo and such, you should be able to play them on your computer. If not that then play a console system....or run around outside.
 
why dont you go ibuypower to see some good deals? Sounds like your computer needs a new MB but might as well update the other stuff.. Good luck hope you get to find something affordable.

Dont forget its memorial Day monday so you might get into some good deals and or sales.
 
yea i got mine from newegg its made by ibuypower had to return the first one though cause of blue screen and this one i had to make the rear fan exaust today by flipping it but besides that costed 720$ u can see my sig for specs
