...so... you all remember my "overheating" troubles some time ago, right? well if you remember the DELL tower, it's got the "door" on the wrong side, right? yes. my tower stands on the left of my table and thus I just opened and put away the "door" of the tower (which turned out to be on the inside side - the table side). so the verdict is - it's working quite well w/o the "door"! no problems since then. we'll see...

DELL: 2.4GHz core 2 duo, 2GB RAM, 8800GTX vid, 20" 2ms monitor, vista (evil!), 2 optical drives, 320GB HDD, etc.
 
Opening the door for the most part increases airflow in dusty/poorly ventilated cases.
For more awesome effects, try putting a box fan up against it ;)
(Thats the solution I have to keep my fanless graphics card cool :P)

For a permanent solution, buy some 120mm fans or a PCI slot cooler, and a can of compressed air ;)
(If you have no spots for 120mm fans... there's always the dremel tool :D)
