^Probably because it's the hat that people would think of when they see a German in that they wore those hats i mean when i think of a german hat i would think of that because i just know that only German's wore it as for other hats which were worn throughout the world. So i guess its just a hat, just because it's an all-german hat and that it was designed for mainly Germans to wear so to speak, like in my opinion the rice hat the chinese wore although i havent looked into it i think that it is soley Chinese

Yeah, that's what a lot of people have been saying about the Medic's hat. I personally would find it funny, and it would be far more relevant seeing as how this game is set in the 50's (I think). I'm sure at least one hate mail would fly at Valve with exploding force if that helmet came around....
