What exactly are scrims?

Yeah, i've been hearing about scrims, and I have no idea what they are, im pretty sure it explains it on the forum somewhere but I haven't found it.

Sorry for being a nub.

no prob. scrims are fights against clans, or other things. techinally, its a face off. most of the time its a CLAN VS CLAN fight. here in eGO we sometimes have inter-divisional scrims.

we do dog tag scrims where the e's vs eG's in a "friendly" game of what tag is better and the winner moves on. i put friendly in quotes because it gets intense.
Also there are scrims where people like jake said but cal is gone its pretty much a intense game

CAL:
Competitive leagues. Players compete for fame, and possible prizes.
Some of our divisions have CAL teams - CS:S does not. We have an FBG team, still competitive.

eGO Scrims:

Dog Tag:
e's vs eG's, e's vs eGO's, eG's vs eGO's.
We fight to see who has the better players.

Special events:
Various fun events where we do things we normally wouldn't during normal gameplay hours.

Basic Training:
A weekly event where the Basic Training team teaches you how to use various guns.

Wednesday Night Fights:
A weekly event where we really just do whatever the person leading the event wants us to.

FBG Sunday:
Weekly event where we use specific guns every round in order to have fun, and collect Plinks for our FBG scrim team to use in battles against other clans.

Jail Nights:
Weekly event where it is members only on the jail server for an hour. Usually gives our admins a break.

Practice duels among a team. In this case its shootouts among an organization.

i think scrims are more of a practice match for clans. thats what my old clan used to do when i scrim'd. we look for other clans, and ask if they want to scrim.

thats what we used to do, but i dont anymore, my headset just attracts dust now.
