Anyone else having this problem since patch?

I'll sit in line for the server, wait 20-30 mins... a slot will open, the game will start loading the level, and right before connect, I get kicked out with the message "Server is full".

This only happens to me when I have been waiting on the eGO server list from another server, and I join from that server. Are you on other servers when this happens or no? I think it puts two people in the same slot and obviously, it's going to have to kick someone.

I've gotten it once or twice, but never on an eGO server. Pretty much the only thing to do is to wait it out or just keep trying.

The reason this happens is very simple, you weren't the only one waiting on auto retry. There was someone else whose internet is faster and he got the spot just fraction of a second before you.

Actually, that's not entirely true, because a queue is set up when there are people waiting to get in.

It means that the signal from the server saying that there's room for you now was sent too slow and didn't return from the client in time, so it assumed you left and gave the slot to the next guy. Then, when you finally receive the message and you attempt to enter, you can't because your slot was taken.

It's not about faster client-side internet, it's about slow and laggy servers.

This has been happening a lot on the regular 2Fort server lately with lots of people, not to mention that the 2Fort server has been wankin' out like crazy lately (crashing/restarting without warning, etc.)

This happens before the update as well. When the servers full, and somebody leaves, it takes a while for steam to realize somebody has left and to put you in. Just keep pressing Join or Retry.

No, this is the first time I ever got this. It had 3 slots free. In a normal server. I think I have the same as you, Naismith.

This has always happened even before it....I use to get it a lot....it say "Joining 2Fort" but then I get kicked because there is no spot.....just when the signal that the server is open is sent it doesnt respond back from the client fast enough so the signal is sent to another client.....just be persistent and you'll get in soon enough

That has happened to me too. Haven't had to wait that long, but it would load and then give me server is full message. Never happened before update. doesn't take long to get on after that for me though.
