RECRUITING. My job, and yours.

If there's no Admins on the server, I'll recruit. Send out the info that you guys usually give out a such. Of course, If there's a admin, I'll leave it to you guys.

I'll also be messaging people on my Friends List to see if they are interested.

We can make eGO the biggest FPS clan (If we aren't already) Ever to be made!

Recruiting is not only limited to admins Sharpe. Best thing you can do is if you see anyone ask what is (e) mean, or whats the website, or anything like that, just tell them that:
You're playing on my clan's server: www.edgegamers.org If you have any questions add me to steam!

And of coarse people on your friend's list is always a good place to talk about joining the clan!


I would like to make a note though. We don't allow other clans/people to recruit/advertise on our servers, or in our forums. So make sure we're not doing this as well. Its very impolite to go into another clan's server and try to recruit. If you make friends out there, and you add them to steam, and talk to them there, that is perfectly fine (and a good idea). Just don't do it IN someone else's server. :">

One thing to please remember is to be polite. I have been on a few servers where Admin chat was being abused for recruitment purposes. A few times someone said over Admin chat "Please join eGO and tell them blah-blah sent you!"

Don't spam chat and don't spam the mic either. It comes off as desperate. Be polite. If you make it good and fun, they will come.

I agree with docfate. Don't spam the all-chat. It's completely ok in my opinion to use it but not to fill the chat with it. Also, make the message personal.

Think about it, which one would you prefer?
"Join edgegamers today. Check out edgegamers.org for more details and tell them player x sent you" OR "Do YOU like punk-free gaming? Do YOU like cookies? Join Edgegamers today, check out edgegamers.org for more details or hit me up on Steam!" and why yes the second one has worked for me.

I recruit on our newer servers alot more than ones where we have an established fanbase. It's always cool to see other people respond and ask about how to join and stuff. If we target areas where we havent had servers before (arena) it will most likely attract people, that like a diff gaming experience, which is why I recruit more there

This is a very good point Midg.
I think I managed to get about 4 new recruits at one time yesterday on the turbine.

Most people (Myself included) found eGO because of good ping. These new servers are going to bring in new people from the U.S. West Coast because they are based in that area, and thus have better ping.

Remember: Remain professional. Hand out the website. And try to get them on your steam friends.
