hello let me start off by introducing my self. I am ChexMix.

this topic is about Fallout 3 and how you feel about it.

if you like it or not go ahead and share your opinion. :)

i'll start off. i've played fallout 3 from begining to end. and i've played all the addon's (operation anchorage, the pitt, and broken steel). my opninion of this game is that it's fun, and has a great story line. the game does take some getting used to(like controls and where the navigation bar is and where you go).
but other than that its really fun.

2 thumbs up from me

i hate it, Oblivion is so much better, fallout 3 gets too boring too fast

I love it.
I have never played a game that has put me in places, where i actually have to think about killing, not just do it.

I liked it. Tons of stuff to do. But the fighting was really boring without VATS and it has the worst storyline in a game ever.

I don't know.... It just is my opinion... I think that the distance between different places is too big. This game needs motor vehicles!

That is what there is so amazing.

It creats the feeling of being in a nuclear wastland.

No cars.
But you can allways quick travel from your pip-boy!

Fallout 3 is pretty good, but Fallout 2 is still the best in the series [so far] though I must admit I would have liked to play BOS 2 [sounded interesting form the design docs].

I do however think that the mothership zeta crap will be a disaster, I mean the whole alien thing is nice to sprinkle it in as random encounters but to make an entire expansion out of it? Next thing ya know they'll add in alien bases & well have to fight them colonizing like we fight the enclave, lol. Coming in 2011: Fallout 4 - Mars Attacks! :P

Fallout 3 is NOT a Fallout-game in it's true sense. Sure, it is fun for a while - in my case 'while' being approx. 60 hours with the 2 DLC's - and then it gets boring. Exploring isn't that fun, sidequests aren't fun and the fighting loses its charm when you are level 20 with the most powerful Power Armor you can get and the most epic weapons you can get in the game. IE. The game loses it's challenge. (Yes I am aware that the 3rd DLC is out and the max. level is now 30ish but I don't care).

Fallout 2 had a dark sense of humour which even tho I played it at the age of 6, appealed to me. I must be a freak but we'll leave it at that. Fallout 3 has it's fun moments but is not comparable to the earlier games.

End statement.

I loved Fallout 3 I thought it was a great game all around. It's very challenging and it isn't something you're going to beat in a weekend.
I didn't really like the first 2 fallouts for the simple fact of the turn based style of game play where you had to use action points and blah blah blah...they just weren't for me on that aspect alone. I always heard about how they had a darker sense of humor than 3 did and I wish they would have added that into 3 but I think they were playing it safe by not adding it.

IMO, its not bad, and at the same time is not all that good (believe me, the game gets boring after u beat it, even with its expansions), sure using vats is a lot of fun, but many things, like the main story really weaken the game, and the BS expansion is the real ending AND THEY ARE SELLING IT FOR ALMOST 15 OR 20 USD!!!!

I have been playing through it for a while now. I still can't decide if i like the game though..... It has its moments both ways for me. Now i will admit that i screwed up and got it for PS3 and not PC. I didn't honestly know it was a part FPS when i got it so that part killed it for me on console. I think on PC it would be tons better. Plus all the DL's would be nice.

I disliked the vanilla game, as I did with oblivion.
Without mods, I'd rather forget it happened.
Actually, I'd still rather forget it.
(Fangirl of fallout 1/2 here.)

I personally loved Fallout 3, great game, very fun, I can play it for days on end just exploring.
