Has anyone seen clips of TF2 back in the early stages?

So today I was bored and decide to find old clips of TF2 and dang talk about a huge difference. It's so amazing what TF2 looked like back in 2001. I'm still curious if Valve decided to keep it that and how well it would have worked. In the end thanks Valve for the current version of TF2.

Looks pretty much like half-life, maybe tfc, I haven't played in so long, I can't remember well.

I still have the PC gamer that had TF2 on the front cover! Thank god they went for a different look, otherwise it would have just been a regular ol' shooter. Plus i remember Gabe saying that they wanted people to still be able to rocket jump and the "real" look just didn't fit in if you could do that

I remember seeing those a long time ago. I found it really cool because of two reasons.

A) Hadn't found a good fps in awhile.
And B) We would have actually gotten rifles and machine guns.

I was pretty angry when I found out they changed it to cartoony and I said it would be stupid, but I was proven wrong, ^^.

yup yup wrong you were lol...jk mate.....it is a little offsetting at first if you like the old FPS games.....but TF2 is a great game in all aspects

yea look at the spys gun. it was totally different also the scout at a similar smg to the sniper. i wonder if those models and stuff are still in the original game.

Yeah, the spy gun was the tranq gun from TFC. There is a lot of beta-style skins i've seen that make them look like they were before.

I bet that version wouldn't have been near as "fun". I like how the current version is able to not take itself seriously at all because of its style... BONK!
