It comes out on Tuesday!! Who else is excited for this game? I'm going to try to recreate my awesome family from The Sims 2.

i am thinking about getting the CE only because it comes with 2 gb usb drive that looks like the green diamond from the game. hehe im not a big fan of the series

I kind of miss the Sims Online too, but it was crap at the time. I used to have dialup...

Apparently some have been able to get their hands on the game early, and some of the hardcore TS2 players haven't been enjoying the game as much as they expected. I'll probably wait a couple months at the least to see how well the game has done, and then consider buying it or not.

I'd be interested in knowing what is different about 3.

I always get really into The Sims for about a week and then get bored and uninstall it.

Different? Well, the biggest improvement I noticed was how much easier the game is to play. While in the previous two Sims games it was almost a frantic pace trying to make sure the sim was fed, entertained, and bedded, Sims 3 did not give me that vibe. In fact, I felt like I had more time to take the sim to town and for him/her to goof off more.

So in a nutshell, the game went from being oriented around the sim to being oriented around the gamer.

This is funny actually. I just finished getting my 4 person family to all platinum status. Sims 2 rocked, will be picking up Sims 3.
