Seriously. The accuracy on it is better than the old spy revolver, despite the weapon's design claims, and all it takes it two easily-aimed headshots to put us engies down. It's like every spy is an aimbotting sniper now, really. I'm going to be all too happy and not surprised one bit if/when Valve nerfs the thing.

Nah I don't think it's that bad, I can avoid it easily and most of the time I get backstabbed.

I love the weapon, and I doubt they will ever nerf it. It has drawbacks that make it balanced...it does no damage to sentries. This keeps engies from being near unstoppable now behind thier buildings...I love this gun.

i think its fine. If they nerfed it it would be nearly useless like it use to be

I think it's nicely balanced ;)

E: Oh, I'm an uber poster now :O

Its not overpowered it takes skill and a combination of lucky and 2 headshots is hard to get on a engi being healed when u have 2 wait 4 the gun to cool down too.

I <3 it, it's much better than the revolver. I do think it's a wee bit unbalanced, but the -15% to damage and the slower firing rate was supposed to even things out by decreasing the DPS (if i may use WoW terms). I guess it's not working for you guys. Well, I love it.

I love using it. I think it still may be a little unbalanced. Maybe if the firing rate was made a little longer, it may fix it.

If it gets nerfed again it will be useless
The two are balanced.

P.S. Don't stand still :\

I don't think it needs changed... But I have noticed some spies just sitting on the battlements in 2Fort sniping with it. That makes me a little unhappy that they're wasting their time, and the teams, by doing that... but whatever. It'll pass soon.

And if i'm not mistaken, they fixed it so it does do damage to sentries. Check the last patch notes.

P.S. Don't stand still :

Pretty much the size of it. They can't backstab you as easily either when you move, so even if you just circle around as you move it helps a lot (or circle around your stuff as you wrench it while you're an engy)

everything is overpowered if you are good at it, except items that don't actually kill people.

I thought they had fixed that. :O
But anyways, this weapon is balanced. Not many people can get constant headshots with it, even from long range.

I think the Ambassador is balanced. It's really easy to spot spies who are using it (crouching around and looking at you, even though the crouch doesn't help with the aim), it's fairly easy to dip out of the second headshot, and they can't effectively SNIPE with it the same way a sniper can. Sure, they can hit people from long distances, but good luck getting a headshot from one staircase to another on Blackmesa at A on a moving target. Which is what snipers do alllll the time.

Plus, it makes the Razorback even more worthless and meaningless as an item since you can just uncloak behind a sniper and shoot him in the back of the head twice. Anything that shows people how worthless that shield is gets the pass in my book. :(

Maybe this is just me but I'm a HORRIBLE shot with it. I only get headshots by shooting at Pyro's running straight at me down a blackmesa hallway. I also have yet to get a crit headshot that kills. I usually get one and panic and just open fire.

It takes a lot more skill, and for long range there is a lot of accuracy fall off. Easy to dodge I must say.

its fine, the new huntsman is not however, as its impossible to miss from inside of 10 feet, takes no aiming skill

I agree with that but it is much harder to get kills from further away as efficiently as the sniper rifle.
