Both of these are $364.98 and shipping. Also does anyone get the replacement warrenty with Newegg or a waste of time?

Yes, those are good, but are they good for you is the question. What do you plan on doing with this? Games? coding?
Actually, I think you would be fine doing pretty much anything.

Don't do the replacement warranty. Usually the default warranty is good enough to last you.
 
Thanks Bobfather, yeah i was talking to a friend and he recommended them so i went ahead and did it, plus 2 74gig raptors 10k and 1 TB WD. All i have left maybe next month is another 260 c 216 for SLI at one point :)
 
Why spend so much on those HDDs ? Get some good samsungs and put them in raid, use the money you save for a badass gpu ;)
 
I read that WD caviar black hard drives are just as fast as the WD raptors due to a larger cache and a serial ATA connection thats twice as fast (3.0 gb/sec compared to 1.5 gb/sec). WD black hard drives are cheaper too.

I have a e8400 pared with a Asus P5Q pro motherboard and I love it. The cpu overclocks very well and I have yet to hear of anyone who has a problem with it.
 
The E8400 or 8500 (8600 I guess if you want to send way to much) are still among the best gaming chips on the market.

Of course this will change when games start to properly utilize quad cores, however currently 2-3 games utilize them, none properly.

That setup should last you a couple years if its primary for gaming as long as you don't buy every bleeding edge game as sooner or later they will start to utilize quad cores.

The MB is a bit pricey for what you get however is still a very nice board.
 
I used nearly that same mobo/cpu combo for a while (I don't have the FTW version). I had the E8400 @ 4.0ghz on air @ 1.35vcore.

Yeah, my friend say that the Black Edition hard drives are just as quick.

I would also consider getting a Quad-Core cpu. They weren't very useful until now because most programs are made to run on duals
