I have a problem with my mic on cstrike plz help!

I have not been able to use my mic on css at all i have tried console voice_enable 1 and options settings i have alos reinstalled my game several times and nothing and i know its not a problem with my mic as it works perfectly on in-game chat and other game's voicechat:facewall: anybody got any suggestions?

have you made sure that your mic is set up to work for your computer yet? sometimes you can't just plug your mic into your computer and expect to use it right away.

as 02 said it might not be plug n play, and at least for me i have to plug in the mic before i start my game, im not too good at computers so thats all i can give you

yeah i would assume that its not plug and play but i restart my computer while the mics in and it works fine the sound going through it and everything even in css its just the mic and thank you i will try steam support. btw it works in everything else such as i can go play tf2 use my mic all i want and then go on css and nothing. *sigh*

Calm down...

What kind of mic are you using. I've found that CSS does not like USB mics, and only likes the ones you plug into the pink jack. Make sure you have one like that.

and guys, if you dont have anything to say about helping him with the mic, i suggest not to, because then you are juts spamming.

u suggest looking up the customer service for your mic if its something along logitech brand or any named brand, they can usually help you with your problem. but if its a no named brand, i suggest going to where ever you bought the mic and ask them about it.

My headset has two plugs. Did you plug them in incorrectly? Make sure you check the symbols.

does your mic work for other things including thing over the internet other than CSS? Try using it in like a voice chat over MSN or something like that...if it does work for everything else, then it isn't your mic its your CSS setup or something. if it doesn't...then its probably your mic connections or windows setup (could be muted) or just defective
