I cant log into steam!!

My friend sent me a URL. the URL brought me to steam and asked me to login. After I logged in I left the page. Steam sent me a message saying that I logged in on another computer. I tried to login 10times and it kept telling me either my name or my pass word was wrong. I made sure caps lock was off and kept trying. I finally hit retrieve Account. I went through the steps and checked my email. I havent received any email from Steam. This is really making me mad now. Can some one please help me! Thanks.
 
What just happened was, when you went into that url and it had you login to you steam with your steam name/password it was a fake, meaning someone probably changed the password and took your account. :(
 
You just got scammed by the same thing your friend got scammed by.... not you have to retrieve your account. You can't login because someone just stole your steam account.


Contact steam support and they can help get your account back.

Next time, dont log into any site with your account information ;)
 
I don't know if you can get your account back, you may have to make another.

Im sure Steam Support can reset it for ya. Might take a while, But I'm sure they are willing to help. Valve is pretty good about support.
 
Ok, so I sent Steam this exact message in an email. I hope they can fix whatever is happening. I'll be sure to be more careful in the future. Thanks every one.

Just a quick update.

The other day I sent steam the exact massage I started this thread with. They sent me an email asking for either a key code from one of my games or information on a credit card i used for buying a game. Sadly I didnt keep my key codes. But luckily I bought audio surf with a credit card. I sent them the information they requested.

Today, just for kicks, I tried to log into my account. Instead of getting the "incorrect Password/account name" massage, I got a massage saying my account had been disabled. Thats good, right?

Hopefully it means they disabled it so the guy that took it cant use it and there getting it back to you.
 
Nope, that's not good. It means the person who used that account used his e-mail on multiple accounts, which disables them.
 
*sigh*
Well Steam wont help me so I created a new account. But now I have to buy all my games again before I can Play any.:facewall:
Do I have to make a new profile for this site now?
