Official eGO skin?

I'm glad you made a point of saying not a server-wide switch.
That would cause people not to join due to the download time. There's not much as frustrating as downloading a couple hundred sounds and materials just because a server owner wants them, and can't have it for themselves only.

I like the Idea alot. I used to play on nOObsalad servers alot, and if you donate and become VIP you get skins. I thought it was pretty sweet.

I think this is an awesome idea and i would most definitely download them. Ive been getting better at making skins so maybe ill work on a sample and post it here and see what people think.

i actually like the server wide one tho, i like how sheapard of god put it, i duno il use whatever skins u can get me, but id be awsome to have pubs see our skins and make them that more intrested in joing eGO think guys, that would be awsome

Yea a official eGO pack would be awesome! I use the K98 skin and the sniper rifle skin. And i got an M4 instead of thomson lol.

Since n00bsalad/noobsalad.net created VIP skins, I'd like to share with you information.

The skins help generate about 200% of our server fees. We gave them in combination of a reserved slot since our servers were full and with perks such as !giveak, !givem4, etc etc.

Skins have to be fast loading. Less than 1-2mb per model. Only 1 model per team to keep the downloads fast. Bzip them and put them on fastdownload. People don't mind downloading skins only once. Regulars wont' have to download them except the initial time.

Keep the skins to an advantage such as camo. If u look at Ns's skins, they give the player an advantage visually, hence our VIP revenue. Putting the logo just makes them a big target. Make it work as if they're in the field.

Keep the model that is familiar to the player. A female skin got tossed out because people bitched they can't get reg on her. If u use one of the 4 original models per team, you'll get less bitching.

Good luck and doing skins is totally worth it.
