Account Stealer OWNED

i hate people that try this especially now adays its kinda old lol. Thanks for the warning thow, when u think about it its kinda scary how much the false page looks real.

Watch out for misspelled phishing sites. Like
ssteamcommunity
steamcommun1ty

and so on.

Be very careful!

Thats one of my favorite things to do. Once and a while I'll get a guy trying to get my account and I like to play with them for a while before before letting them go :)

Well look at it this way, atleast our scammers aren't like the ones on the WoW forums. There you click 1 link, its a picture. Next think you know your infected with a keylogger and you just lost your account.

This is a lot better, considering you can avoid typing in your information.

always check domain name guys and make sure things are spellt right and sometimes instead of targeting the steam community pages people will try to phish clan pages hopeing that the same pass used on the clans forums is the same as the steam one.

and for people saying they thought theses kinda of attacks are old news phishing well never stop becuase it takes advantage of the user not the system and we all know there will always be someone is stupid enough to fall for it or is just not aware at the moment and fall for it.

also back a few years ago there was a case with a tfc clan where the site admin stole people forums passwords and started useing them on there steam accounts.

most of the scammers are script kiddies anyways and the people there are attempting to scam know more about what there doing than them. that kid that the post is about probably didn't even make the fake sight himself most likely found everything all ready put together or followed a tutorial step for step.

:( someone literally just hacked my account this morning and i dont know how...steam isnt even responding to my ticket ... any ideas =\?(and yes im sure i didn't tell anyone my info)

WOW, that'S what we call PWNED, men good job ! If somebody ever does that to me, it will be a long nite for him and I garantee that he will never do that again to anyone, because I know some cool command with MS DOS and some other programs XD.

lol IMO one of the earliest giveaways in the conversation that he was a scammer is that he sent you the link using tinyurl LMFAO
when someone does that instead of just sending the original url something is almost always a trick/scam

I love messing with people who try to steal your account. It's funny. And their they're really dumb, you can make them do stuff for you, that'll make them look even dumber.
