Particle Editing Help

Hello everyone, I've been doing some custom editing changing RED vs BLU to YLW vs GRY(scale). I've gotten the weapons, cap points, players all set, but I'm having a few problems.

1. On maps like Blackmesa, the 5 squares at the bottom showing who controls what are still RED/BLU, I can't figure out how to change the colors.

2. Teleports are YLW/GRY, but the rings that float up once the teleporter is active are their original colors.

3. Various streaking effects (arrows, etc.)

I have a feeling I need to edit the particle effects for the game, but they are not .vtf files so I don't know how to access them or even change them. If anyone has any experience in this, or if these issues can be solved with material .vtf files please reply.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: And if anybody wants to learn how to edit skins, give me a pm sometime

1. Can't be done. It is the map maker who programs that into the map.

2. Can't be done, it is not possible to alter your particle manifest. (In TF2 anyway...)

3. As Above.

I beg to differ about all of those statements, please refer to the below image

Green Blocks

1. This is a package on fpsbanana called Green vs Red. They have managed to change the blue icon to green, but I want to change the green to gray, and red to yellow.

2. I have seen particle changes where the rings shoot up black mesa shapes/dragons/etc. Also...this teleporter is green. I have not been able to make it work myself downloading the package, but there it shows.

3. I know this is possible as well, there are specific files called Trails where this falls under, but some are not under here (medic syringe needle for example) that I use Syringe Example

The problem is, they are particle files. I understand how .vtf files work, and I can edit them, but these are .pcf files and I'm not sure how to work with them, or access them (GCFScrap doesn't work).

(I assume .vtf stands for valve team fortress file, and .pcf means particle file. Either way, they are not standard file types, and I can't find any tutorials on fps that deals with them)

vtf is valve texture file, it not specific to TF2. out of interest why do you want to change the colours to suck random ones?
