After a good 5 years with my old PC, its starting to get a little rusty and obsolete so i think its time to upgrade to a much better PC under 600 bucks.

So here are my old PC's specks:
Intel Pentium 4 2.5 HGz
512 megabits of RAM
N-Vidia GeForce 6600 BFG 256 megabits
Hard drive of 250 gigs
The rest is a mystery sine its too old and i dont remember and I didnt build it.

My possible new PC:
-SAMSUNG Spinpoint F DT HD502IJ 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - OEM

-BFG Tech BFGE98512GTXPOCBE GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

-SIGMA SHARK SP-635 635W ATX12V V2.01 SLI Ready Power Supply
-Kingston 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Desktop Memory Model KVR800D2N6/1G x2
-MSI G41M-FD LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
-Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
-http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835114073Dynatron P985 92mm Ball CPU Cooler

PS, im conserving my keyboard, mouse, speakers, mouse, usb connectors, wireless receiver and the cables from my old PC.

Im in need of a new case, but im still new to the case and a sound card, if u know some that can fit on the motherboard and a case that holds ths together under my budget price pls post it below.

P.S. The more stylish the case the better, and if there is a part im missing pls post it below.

It looks like you got everything there. You got to remember the Windows software is about $150

You should get a clear case with Cold Cathodes(Lights) it looks awesome. The Case is about $50 and cold cathodes are about 6.99 for two. Comes in green, blue, red and purple.

Very nice, I also suggest more ram. Get like 4gigs. RAM is cheap and boosts up your performance by A LOT. And why micro atx? Stick with standard. Here are some low priced cases that are great. You should go with a Large Mid-Tower to stick in that 9800gtx perfectly. The more airflow the better.

When I get my new build running ima build it on the tempest.

Good case brands:

NZXT
Zalman
Thermaltake
ULTRA
Cooler Master

grab a 4gig ram to combine with a 64bit windows (i suggest windows xp) then it would be even faster than a 32 bit system with 4 gig

in the futur suggest to go for sli and a higher psu maby 600w

xD if you wanna go extreme get 8 gigs for the 64bit vista. But you can run the full 4gigs on a 32-bit system.

Anything by Cooler Master

or

Antec 300

Both good choices for low cost, stylish cases. Of course, my personal taste says stylish is clean lines, and absolutely no neon lights anywhere, so you might disagree! However, these are very well made cases, at at good prices.

I would stay away from windows xp 64-bit as well. It was never developed quite as well as the rest. Right now, I'd load up the latest windows 7 release and roll with that until the retail comes out. Then you can just go buy it.

4gb of RAM is probably worth it given the prices these days.

Eh, everyone talks smack about vista. Vista is freaking great. But when windows 7 comes out, hopefully a lot of the hardheaded xp fanatics switch over to the newest windows.

Actually I'm just waiting for windows 7 to come out and buy it. But since that seems to be 2 or 1 year away, ill just install windows XP.

October 22nd, 2009 is release date. I highly recommend it.

That CPU cooler I wouldn't trust, get something better ESPECIALLY if you plan to OC.
Note that mobo would limit your upgradability options of your PC in the future a lot.
