Currently I'm using a Dell Inspiron 1520 to play TF2 and it's meh. Runs at medium graphics with about 30 FPS. I'm upgrading to this and it's getting ordered on Sunday.

Yup. My father actually works for Cisco Systems (they own Linksys) and not only do we get free internet :D but we got a free N band wireless router.

And Cut, I got it from eCollegePC.com. There is a builder on the site. The shipping is cheap, and from what I heard, they're pretty darn good. I'm pretty happy with it. I posted places and they said I should be able to max out TF2 with 45+ FPS, so I'm happy with that. Plus, I can finally run Fallout 3 and Oblivion on more than Super Low settings :P I only got into PC gaming about 2-3 years ago, so I've been running on this relatively meh laptop, and even until about a year ago, I didn't play any really graphically demanding games (Diablo 2, Fallout 1-2, Ultima Online, WoW, Planetside, Half Life 1, TFC)

I believe if I order it on Sunday, it should get here the following Monday. So I can't wait. For those of you who get owned by me now, just wait until I get a good computer. ;) And yes Chemist, I totally W+M1'd you to dominate you.

P.S. I used to play with the laptop mouse pad... things changed once I got a mouse <.< And only 4 days ago, I upgraded to a laser mouse. I was using a 7-8 year old ball mouse in which the ball kept falling out every 5 minutes while playing.
 
Dude, sick deal. And sick hook-ups from the dad :D I'm thinking of upgrading soon too. But thats whenever I get money.
 
Would of been cheaper if you built it yourself, good parts overall.

You know what, I actually took the liberty of doing that. Guess what everybody?!

I'm getting that exact same PC for a grand total of....

219.00 USD!!!!!

I went and bought the parts, because my brother is leaving me his older desktop. So I just took out everything but the Motherboard (very nice, similar to the one in the PC I was going to buy) the sound card, the wireless card and of course, I'm keeping the case.

This has to be the best purchase of my short life. I'm going to have a kick bootay computer for $219... :thumbup:

For the most part, you just plug everything and if I have a little trouble I'll call up my cousin who is a tech genius.

P.S. I left some RAM, (I'm adding 4 GB to bring it to a total of 6) and the harddrive (he has Vista 64B and I'm not repurchasing it, 400 GB HD)
