Need help with Steam groups

I have tried several times to join our steam groups but it won't let me. Do I need to request access? It says they are public but when I click join nothing happens. Decided to try one more time. I can join other groups with no problems so do I need an invite?

Edit: I got into the main eGo group but not TF2. I am guessing it's something with Steam. Anyone run into this?
